Can't think of a clever title....

So here goes. A whirlwind tour of the last two weeks of my life. I was very kindly informed by my grandmother this evening that I really should update my blog more often so I apologize to all my faithful readers (who knows maybe she's the only one left after this long) that it has taken me awhile to write. To be completely honest I have had more time now that I'm out of school, although I'm working a few more hours a week then I used to, but I feel I"m on the computer all day I just don't feel like coming home to get onto it. I'll check what I absolutely have to at work, but lately when I get home I do anything besides be on the computer. Now, when I was in school I updated it more often because i had to be on the computer and writing on here gave me break from everything else I was doing. Now I don't have to, but I promise to try to be better. Well I'll start off with what I remember happened, it will probably start things today and work backwords. I actually just got through reading a book I really enjoyed earlier today. I have a very strict rule that during a semester I can't start any "fun" books. If I do that's all I'll do and I won't read the books I need to. I also have the problem when I start one I can't stop for example I was up half the night last night reading into it, but I got through it in two days. I have a huge stack I've been saving all school year and I can't wait to get into more. I'm pretty sure I wrote about the experience of meeting the author it's called Modest Proposal and it's the first book in a series by a woman named Michele Ashman Bell. She hasn't written well maybe she has but hasn't released the rest of it and to be honest I'm very much looking forward to it. It gave me a lot of inspiration, that I didn't think I'd get from it, I thought oh it'll just be a cute fun read, but I really liked it. I hope to pick up more of her different books sometime soon. Last night I went to the Cheesecake Factory and had the most amazing flavor key lime cheesecake mmmmmmm it was amazing I can almost still taste it. I also went to the Aquarium in Sandy. It was pretty cool except I seriously almost died from touching the sting ray. I know I seriously wouldn't have died because they take it out, but I was about to pet one of them and this other one came up the side of the pool and freaked me out so bad that I couldn't put my hand back in. Anyway, that was an interesting experience. Friday I worked the day from you know where. I won't even get into everything but I had a lady go crazy on me because she thought I lost her license, another called me incompetent just to name a few of the things. I went out to dinner with parents after driving around for an hour we decided on the Lonestar steakhouse, it was good but I was just exhausted from the entire day. Hmmm wow I have a not so good memory.....OOoooh I forgot Saturday I went to Pine Needles in Gardner Village I got an email saying they were having a sidewalk sale. I got some great patterns and the cutest baby set all 10% off and some things were marked from like $8 down to $1 so I was very excited and can't wait to start working on them. I think I've seemed to plan way too much into my summer already, but I'm very excited for it all. I hope to go on some trips and I have a few concerts coming up I"ll tell you all about when I go to them. I've also been watching a lot of movies lately. I went to Maid of Honor and Ironman. I liked both of them very much. I've also in the last week watched Juno, August Rush, National Treasure 2 and A lot Like Love. I would recommend all of them for different reasons obviously. Well, since I keep getting inquiries into my dating life no serious prospects yet although I keep getting suggestions for blind date setups. I've been on so many of these in the past and had such crazy experiences I said no finally to them. Now however, I'll be more open and say what the heck bring it on. Haha anyway, tonight I'm going to a drive in movie, I haven't been to one in a year or two since we always used to go down in Fairview. Well Mt Pleasant but same idea. I truly can't remember a week ago what big significant events happened. If I remember I'll do another post, but this should give you all a minor update, nothing earthshattering but still I like to have fun.

ANother weekend come and gone

Well, I'm doing a little better with the updates. I think I last wrote last Wednesday...am I right? Anyway, since then the Jazz are tied with the Lakers 2-2. I watched the game today and oh my heck it was amazing, I also watched it Friday, another great game and I'm soooo excited to see it going on after being down 2-0. I'm a big sports fan and have loved the Jazz since I was a little girl. I like all of the NBA, but of course I like my hometown boys. I even call Kyle Korver my future boyfriend, haha I"ll let you know how far that gets (I"m sure I"ll never even meet the guy, but I can dream right?) Well, backtracking a little bit for an update on my week. Thursday night I went hottubbing. Now I was terrified to the point of almost not going, just because swimsuit with other people isn't exactly my idea of the best activity. As I was sitting at my house I was thinking you know why not? Seriously what do I have to lose. It ended up being a blast and I"m glad I went. I also went and ordered a sign to sell my car. They were supposed to call Friday when it was done, they were a little special and took forever to help me and when they didn't call I knew they probably wouldn't so I went in Saturday afternoon and picked it up. My car is officially up for sale if anyone is interested???? Probably not anyone reading this but thats ok. Saturday, I worked in the morning. I also went and got a pedicure that afternoon. I'm going to try and post a picture to this because I must say they look pretty cool. It's like in a plaid design and I love them. Oooh another cool story I went to Seagull to find my mom a mother's day present. I was just browsing through the aisle and I saw a book that interested me. I was like, well I'm not going to get it, I didn't come in for me when I walked by the front of the store. The author of that book was there for that hour doing a book signing. Well, I must say I was very surprised and decided I had to buy it as some sort of sign. The author is Michele Ashman Bell and when she was signing it she asked who it was for. I looked at her kind of embarrassed and said me, after all it was the day before mother's day and that's what most people were getting it for. I told her my story and she got really excited and talked to me for a good five minutes. SHe said she had many other books and hoped I enjoyed them. I'm really excited to start reading it, I"m always looking for good authors I"ll let you all know what I think about it. So, today I was again asked to substitute for another primary class. I have the sunbeams, but they hardly ever come, just two little girls and when they do they have a hard time staying in primary the entire time. So, now I'm also the regular substitute, especially for the class right above mine. I'm beginning to love them, at first I had a hard time keeping control and actually getting a lesson in, but they are some of the smartest and cutest 5 year olds I know. ALthough today in sharing time we made cookie bouquets for the moms. Now, that was interesting trying to get 4 little 5 year olds through that and they seemed to go a little sticker happy, pretty much covering their little boxes in them. They also gave the kids cookies after. One little boy sat there with the saddest look on his face. I just thought oh its because he finished them all first and everyone still had one. Well, apparently he never got any and just didn't want to tell me. I felt so bad, but luckily someone else asked him and he got them and was very happy after. THey also have this thing of sitting in the window. I know I shouldn't have let them in the first place, but I must say its a good threat to listen to the lesson because they know they'll have to sit on their chairs if they aren't good. THe lesson was on prayer and that can always get some good stories out of them. THe funniest part is when they try to pretend they have a life experience almost identical to the book. I tell them something and ask if they had anything similar. Well, they always repeat the story just using their siblings names or whatever. Its quite funny actually, but I love teaching them and being in the primary. I even got to go up in Sacrament Meeting and sing to my mom today ( well I was a teacher helping the kids, but I still told my mom it was for her) Wow, time just flew by I put laundry in and hopefully now it's all done. I think I want to start reading one of my books. I have so many I don't know what to choose. Hope you all had great weekends and we'll see how long it takes me to write again.

Here are some samples of the pictures I took. They were taken on different nights, but both right before it got dark. One of them is fixed a little the other is not. I'm pretty proud of them because they were my first ones with the water effect. Yeah, I must say they're awesome haha

Wow, it's been awhile...

So here goes, I'll try and nutshell my last two weeks. I can't believe it's been that long, I seriously feel as if it was yesterday these past few weeks have been crazy. K, this update may seem all over the place, but I"m going to type it as it comes to my mind. First, haha kind of sad this is what first came to mind. My little stalker note guy. My manager kept trying to call him with no answer, he finally put a note on his account the next time he came in to have him talk to him. Well, sure enough he came in a few days later. I was at lunch, which is weird he normally comes in right when we open. Anyway, I actually was just getting back when I was walking out into the lobby and saw him in my manager's office. Well, I bolted as fast as I could to our back room. He left a few minutes later and my manager asked to talk to me. Well get ready for a laugh but he said he knew I was young, but he thought I was flirting with him. I was like whoa he has an interesting idea of flirting, he's like yeah I didn't get any definitions. Anyway, he said he wouldn't come to me anymore and my manager just asked me to watch and see what he does. He had started like cutting in front of people in line, so he said just see how he acts, hopefully he'll just stop. I agree and think he will although right before my manager was able to talk to him he had come in to me first I was very businesslike with him, it was the first time I"d seen him since the note, I really just wanted him out of the way. I started to shake so bad after he left he just gave me the creeps. He ended up coming back like halfhour later I saw him pull in so I ran to the back room. Well, he didn't come in for like ten minutes so I decided to come out. He then came in so I was still able to hurry back there and all he did was exchange a dollar for quarters. Anyway, that really freaked me out cause he knows I leave to go to school and I was afraid he was going to try and follow me since he had waited so long. Well, he hasn't done that again since and hopefully he'll just stop and realize if he's old enough to be my grandpa I probably don't want him. Well, next I finally finished this semester of school. That's mostly why i've been so long writing this I had finals and everything going on. Also, Joed was back in town for about a week, so if I wasn't studying I was hanging out with him. We did a lot of fun things like take pictures a few times up Big Cottonwood canyon, went to Tracy Aviary with my dad too and up MIlcreek Canyon. He taught me how to take the waterfall pictures. Hopefully he won't mind but go to www.fotolog.com/furtadoj and can see some of his stuff. Some of it I was there for and other stuff he's taken before. I think he's amazing with the waterfalls so I was way excited I got to learn. Mine of course need some help, but I'm working on it. Oh haha I tried to take some pictures of the birds at Tracy Aviary, we'll just say those didn't turn out too well. I even made fun of myself, but the birds are really really hard, I didn't get to save any of them (it's sort of a sore subject haha just kidding Joed) but it's probably for the best. Along with all this picture taking and part of the reason I got to learn is he bought a new camera at Inkley's. That's probably where we spent half the time together either driving there or in the store. I printed some of his stuff, including 2 20 by 30 prints of waterfalls, some smaller ones of birds(my favorite you can see in his blog of the little bird sitting on the rock in the middle of the river) and he took some of Sam for me that are probably the funniest pictures I've ever seen of her. I'll have to have him email them to me and I"ll post them on here. I've really started to like photography, I've taken two classes on it, but I've considered buying a camera to start doing more, we'll see what happens. Ooh speaking of buying things, I was preapproved for an auto loan at my work for a really good rate. We have a promotion going on now so I decided to see if I'd qualify. I have my car up for sale now, I've had one interest, but I don't think it'll work out. If you know anyone interested just let me know. I want to get a Chevy Cobalt I finally decided. My main reason is because volkswagen's are so expensive to fix, seriously double anytime anything is wrong with it. I want the Cobalt because I think they're really cute and affordable, I could even get a new one in my price range. Let's see what else, oh I"m not totally out of the woods with school. last year I signed up for an independent study class through BYU and you have a year to complete it. I realized yesterday that would be June 19. It's better then I thought, but I need to get on it. Hopefully I'm not repeating stuff I've wrote about before and just forgot about. Ohhh I went to the Jazz game Friday night. They totally kicked the Houston Rockets to move onto the Lakers. Sadly, they lost to them Sunday, but I'm so excited for tomorrow's game I just can't wait. I love basketball so this playoff season I"m just going crazy for. Hmmm what else......just a bunch of little things and they all seem to run together so I can't remember any of them. ANyway, I'll let you go for now and promise to be better about the updates.
